After a weekend of rugby watching Jacqui fancied a bit of Cava tasting so we headed for a free aire on a vineyard east of Barcelona. Minutes after arriving we were called into the tasting area by Santiago, a cheerie chappie and we joined seven others at the Cava bar.

Sitting next to another English couple we discovered they not only lived in Chard but had opened the hair salon in Charmouth that Jacqui uses and to cap it all had met Hughie and Jackie last night at a French aire!!!
The tasting was more like an hour and a half of stand up with Santiago entertaining us and sharing 6 bottles of extremely good Cava.
I just had to blog this as it was such a surprise all round. And yes we did buy a bottle.
